INITIAL RESPONSE

When an elevator alarm sounds, is not responding, or is erratic:

  • Remain calm
  • Do not use the elevator
  • Call Building Security at (312) 951-1844
  • Call Building Security at (312) 951-1844

 

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

When trapped on an elevator:

  • Stay in the elevator
  • Use the alarm button inside the elevator to contact Building Security
  • Do not climb to the floor above
  • Do not jump to the floor below
  • Do not try to pry the elevator doors open
  • Listen for directions and wait for help to arrive
  • Call Building Security after the incident at (312) 951-1844
