INITIAL RESPONSE

When an elevator alarm bell sounds, elevator is not responding or erratic:

  • Remain calm
  • Do not use the elevator
  • Call Building Management (847) 535-6105, after hours or weekend (847) 535-8860
  • Call and update Building Management (847) 535-6105, after hours or weekend (847) 535-8860

 

SECONDARY RESPONSE

& FOLLOW UP

    When trapped on an elevator:

  • Stay in the elevator
  • Use the alarm button inside the elevator to contact Building Security
  • Do not climb to the floor above
  • Do not jump to the floor below
  • Do not try to pry the elevator doors open
  • Listen for directions and wait for help to arrive
